Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Hi,

I have been working for 6 months in a IT firm through a consultancy . I had been asked to submit my original marksheets for verification . Now it has been 6 months when i asked for my marksheets they are denying and not treating me well as an a employee should be treated. could you please advice how can i proceed.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should politely ask the entity (consultancy or the IT firm) to whom you actually submitted and handed over the original mark sheet, to immediately return it back to you, and retain a photocopy thereof for their record, stating that it is illegal and a criminal offence on the part of the entity and / or any of its officials to retain the original academic certificates and testimonials of any candidate / employee, resulting in it being treated as a violation and a breach of contract by the employer.
