Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I was hired in a a company as Direct sales executive and was given the designation of National Team Co-ordinator but later on company stated that in the state of karnatka it is illegal to mention sales executive on ID's.

i would like to know is it so ?

and is Marketing Executive can be mentioned inspite on ID's.

Dear Sir / Madam,

No, the Company is taking you for a ride. Labour and employment rules and regulations are uniform across the entire Union of India, and Karnataka is no exception. The designation and Job Description mentioned in your appointment letter will and should be used in all your internal and external office correspondence. So if your designation reads as "National Team Co-ordinator" in your Offer and Appointment Letter, maintain the same designation whenever you sign off any Company correspondence.
