Legal Question in Employment Law in Bangladesh

Under International law, can an employer retain salary till the end of contract. I am in Bangladesh, working for an international Canadian School, employer is withholding 4 months of salary, to be handed over on completion of contract.

Please be noted that since the legal cause of action arisen in Bangladesh, therefore the said dispute must be resolved under the existing laws of Bangladesh. From the fact it is my understanding that, your employer has withheld 4 months of salary without any lawful excuse. You may send them a Legal Notice asking the reasons for withholding your salary. The conditions of the Employment Contract are also pertinent here, nevertheless, you should visit a lawyer expert on service matter. Lastly all I can say, if you served them then they are bound to pay your for the service.
