Legal Question in Employment Law in India
I had joined a company this year in india, there was an agreement for compensation of training cost with 150000.they was providing me training for SAP technology. But due to my family problem now i m not able to continue with company, i came back to my home town.
Now they sent me a notice said "legal notice" by a lawyer and saying to pay 4,00000(150000+ 4 month stipen-40+ fine for leaving without exit formalities - 200000).although i had sent 2 email regarding this before coming to my home town but they deny it.
Please suggest me what i should do.
my original certificates are with them. they are saying they will lodge a case in both civil as well as criminal.

Dear Sir / Madam,
Serving a notice of resignation by email is legally valid. The Company cannot deny having received your intimation of resignation. Besides, no Company can force its employee to work against the employees wishes. If you have not signed any Performance / Service Bond, you should reply to the legal notice accordingly. The Company does not have any legal right to retain your original certificates, you should ask them to immediately return your Certificates back to you. Tell the Company straightaway that you are unable to pay them any money for having quit service.
Regards,
