Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Maternity benefit act requires a woman to work at least 80 days prior to get benefits from any employer. A woman can get maximum 6 weeks off before expected delivery date as per Act. Does these 6 weeks will be included in required 80 days working clause.

No. The employee ought to have completed 80 days service prior to commencement of the six weeks paid leave as per the Act.
