Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I was present in the office on 01/16/2014 however because of some reason system did not captured my attendence and i was marked absent for that day. The system shoots an email when abdsent is marked by the system however i missed that email. Last month i came to know about it so i contacted HR to let me know what can be done. HR stated that nothing can be done as the time line of 30 days has already passed.

Question : Please help and let me know if anything can be done in this case? Does the company is not liable to pay me for that day as i was present in the office.

if you have the proof of your presence by some documents you can give a representation in writing to them explaining the miscommunication.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should substantiate your presence in Office on 16/01/2014 duly approved by your immediately reporting Manager for the Company to pay you salary for the day you actually worked. HR has erred in telling you that nothing can be done since 30 days have already elapsed. You can tell HR that nothing to this effect is mentioned in your appointment letter.
