QUESTION- what are the legal remedies for a person being unnecessarily delayed of the job promised and also given a a joining date
FACTS OF THE CASE-
I was given an offer letter by an organisation and was required to submit all my documents for verification and a background reference check was also to be conducted. Post a satisfactory reference check, the offer date was due to be released. I was offered a joining date by a formal communication and hence moved out of my previous post employment. Though a day prior to the joining date, I was informed that the joining would be delayed as some additional verifications are pending.

1) No contract between u and the prospective employer.
2) Nothing can be done.
