Legal Question in Employment Law in India
I have a question with regard to insubordination:
1. Is an unintentional breach of company policy termed as insubordination?
2. Seeking clarity of HR policies - is this insubordination?
3. I notified my manager about change of date in travel via email however didn't explain the reason. Manager has an option in the system to approve / reject but states that this is insubordination

Dear Sir / Madam,
It depends on the nature of the breach and can tantamount to insubordination. Seeking clarity of HR policies is not insubordination. Since reason for change of date of travel was not mentioned, it could amount to insubordination.
