Legal Question in Employment Law in India
r the post of armguard in a nationalised bank.firstly he was asked to send the bio data and later he was called for the interview.he did not the result for a long period of time so he applied through rti rule seeking information regarding his status of the interview.in reply for it the bank replied that he was selected in the interview but we rejected him on the grounds of overqualification.
here my questions are why they did not reject my father's application after they saw the bio data and if he is over qualified why they called him for the interview and why the interviewer selected my father for the mentioned post.does the interviewer does not know the criteria for selection?
my father is an ex-serviceman who has served the Indian army for 16 years and he is in search of a civil job for past 8 years.
