Legal Question in Employment Law in India
This is related to "Labour welfare cess" @1% to be levied on construction contracts in Maharashtra. Since when is it applicable? Is it applicable to contracts entered into prior to 16/7/2010 as the Govt. G.R. is dated 16-7-2010

Dear Sir / Madam,
The Maharashtra Labour Welfare Cess @ 1% of the gross Invoice value is applicable for all construction contract bills raised on or after the GR date ie 16.07.2010 onwards.
