Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I have signed a bond with a company after completing b.tech which said that if I don't serve for a period of three years i will have to pay a sum of Rs 2 lakhs. I left the job in between because of untimely salary and other expenses.
Now they are sending me notices regarding this. I would like to know what I should do as I haven't benefitted anything from the company and I am in no position to pay the amount of Rs 2 lakhs. Plz give me advice on this.
