Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Hi Sir
I am posting the question on behalf of my brother in law. My father in law was government
servant (PWD). He died during his service. My brother in law has filed the application for the
compensatory job 18 months back.
The problem arised when there was discrepancy found in the name of my mother in law. My
brother in law had mentioned his mother's pet name (Usha) in matriculation certificate
whereas my fatherin law had mentioned his wife name as Sushila in his documents. We have already provided the affidavit stating that both the person are same but the director of the
department has rejected the plea. Now the file is going here and there and we do not have any
clue.
Please let us know what should be done from our end to get the job at the earliest. Does the law supports us or not ?

Please file an RTI (Right to Information) application with the PWD (Public Works Department) to establish the facts.
