Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Sir,
I have worked in a college for an year. In offer letter they mentioned it is compulsory period to work for one year. Now I have resigned but they are demanding me three months salary to release my certificates. Its been nearly 4 months they are holding my certificates.

Dear Sir / Madam.
The College does not have any legal right to retain your original certificates. You may complain to the University Registrar to intervene and instruct your college to release all your original certificates. You are not liable to pay the college any salary. You should ask the college Principal to pay and settle your full and final dues immediately.
