Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Hello sir/madam,
I am Gyaneshwar Kumar from Patna.
I had applied in Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in OBC category for the post of SSE and JE in Oct 2014.Examination held in December 2014. But then after in July 2015 my Category merged into a caste which is under SC Category in my state as well as central list.
Still result has not been out(19 sep 2015).
My question is.....
1. Am I legally eligible to ask the recruitment authority for consideration under my changed Category i.e SC.
2. If the recruiting authority Deny what action I should take.
Please answer....
Thanks.

Dear Gyaneshwar,
Caste system in India has since long been abolished. Caste discrimination of any form or nature is illegal and a criminal offense.
You should ascertain the date of declaration of results by the Railway Recruitment Board, You are certainly entitled to clarify all your doubts with the Board.
In my opinion, your result will be considered in the Category you applied.
Regards,
