Legal Question in Employment Law in India
My son is training with a company as management trainee. On completion of the training he has been promised (in writing) a job in an MNC. The company that is doing the two month training says he should give them two cheques of Rs.25,000 each as a guarantee and they will return it to him if he stays on at the job for six months. My son is keen to take up this job but I want to ensure we are not taken advantage of. What should I do? If I write a letter saying that the cheques are given for this reason and get them to sign it - is it enough? What else could I do? Please do help me. am in a quandary. Thank you so much for this service.

Dear Sir / Madam,
You should give a verbal or written assurance that your son will stay on the job for six months. Giving of cheques as a guarantee is unsafe and not recommended.
