I am working as assistant professor in an engineering college in tamilnadu. Completed my part time Ph.D in college. no Ph.D allowances given. so decided to resign from college. Submitted resignation two months before. The authorities holding my degree certificates and not leaving me from the institution. They threatening me with a one sided bond issued by them, asking me to pay around Rs.3 lakhs as compensation for leaving. But in that bond there are no promises from their side what is the salary benefits i will get after completing my Ph.D. can they hold me with that? How to get my certifcates back?

Dear Sir / Madam,
You should tell the college Principal that if your original certificates are not returned back, you will have no other choice but to report the matter to the local Police.
