Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Hi, I am working with a private organization and wanted to know if I can become an insurance agent along with it. Will it be considered dual employment? Is there any legal action which can be taken against me? Can I lose my existing job?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Yes, If the terms and conditions of your appointment in your Offer / Appointment Letter specify that you are not to take up any other job or assignment during the course of your employment with the organization, informing and taking approval of your existing employer to become an insurance agent is advisable and recommended.
