Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pakistan
*** Please advise what is the minimum mandatory rise in rent to be paid to landlords / owners of premises of Residential & Commercial areas in the Province of Sindh especially Karachi. It is heard that tenants should pay 10% increased rent every year to their landlords.
In case 10% rise in rent annually is mandatory then please provide reference of any relevant Govt. Notification. Further if it is so then Bank branches housed in rented premises may pay 10% increased rent every year without having approval of their Head Office for being mandatory rise or Approval of the bank's competent authority would be required?
1 Answer from Attorneys
both tenant and landlord mutually decides if they dont have a written agreement or have an agreement but if it is silent on this point.
in case of disagreement you both can seek the remedy by the court.
