Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
I want to have a agreement with my renters but not on the stamp paper.
Q1. Can I maintain agreement on plain paper? Is it valid in the court of law against any renter if needed?
Q2. Can I maintain agreement register and signed by the renter? Is it valid in the court of law?
How Can I do the above, Please guide me.
Thanking You.

Dear Sir / Madam,
1). An Agreement for Leave and License (ALL) of 11 months duration (less than a year) has to be stamped for Rs. 1,200/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Only) and registration is optional.
2). There is no such thing as an Agreement Register which is meaningless and invalid.
