Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
my grandfather (maternal) bought a house on pagdi long back, after his death, the rent receipt is now in my grand mother's name. she expired in Jan 2013. since my mom's marriage, i was staying with her at my grandmother's place as my mom is dad has done 2 marriages & is now staying with his 2nd wife & children. does this property can be transferred to me after my grandmother's death as myself & my grandmother was staying here in alone. My Uncle (mama) was also there but after my mom's death (in 1999) he never returned back to home. I have no clue whether is he still alive??

if there are no other legal heirs then you have a right. But your mama and his children are also entitled to the property.
