Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Is it mandatory to register the Leave & License agreement from society's point of view? Or is it only for the owners safety?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Registration of an Agreement for Leave and License (ALL) which is usually of 11 months duration or less than or equal to a year is optional and voluntary. An ALL with a duration exceeding a year is required to be stamped and registered. The Society does not have any say in the registration of an ALL and it is a call to be taken by the Owner only.
