What is the notice period duration for a legal notice served to a tenant for eviction in case there is no lease agreement in place?

Dear Sir / Madam,
In the absence of a leave and license agreement, notice period to vacate the premises should be the period that has been verbally agreed between both the parties. If there in no agreed period, then maximum one or two months notice period to vacate the premises is sufficient.
