Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Hi,
I am planning to buy a property (occupied by my family for the last 12 years and with my father as one of the tenants) in rent control for more than 30 years in Kolkata India. I intend to buy the property in my name and seize payment of rent to rent control as soon as the property is registered in my name.Need your advise if there is any legal issue with this approach as my uncles are the other tenants(names in rent control) to the property (not the occupiers) and I am unsure if they can drag me into any legal battle in this context.
