Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
I rented my house for 11 months on Rs.100 stamp paper contract agreement. But in 4 months I have realized that the tenants are belligerent one and I wish them to vacate my property. The contract says I can ask the tenant to vacate the property on giving a 1-month notice. Now the problem is I have asked the same but tenants reply was-"We will when we wish to, you are no one to instruct us"{jab hamara mann hoga hum tab jayenge, tum koi nahi hote bolne wale}.
Is verbal notification sufficed or I need to give them some written notice. What should be the legal notice and its content. Is a hand-written notice with signature on A4 size sufficient and if it is ok how can I be sure that tenants wont refute that they get any notice.
Thank you
Vivek

Dear Vivek,
Give the Licensee a simple handwritten month's notice on plain A4 size paper, stating the date by which you want the house cleared and return back of the keys, at the end of the notice period, if they fail to vacate your house, they will be treated as illegal trespassers into your house, and liable for Police action thereafter. Your Licensee is trying to unnecessarily throw his weight on you. In Hindi its called "Neki aur pooch pooch". Show him / her / them the way out of your house.
Regards,
