Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Sir i am gopal from india .i stay with mine widow mother sister and grandma of age 75 years.
We live in a rented house frm past 40 years..of which the landlord has filled a case frm past 22 years for posession and increase the rent.
But the judgement is still waiting
Now the landlord sold the property to someone else and asking us to vacant the land .so what protectuon is given us as a tenant by indian law

Dear Gopal,
Since you are living in the rented house from the past 40 years, you should plead in Court to accept depositing the rent in the Court to avoid eviction from the premises. You can also request the new landlord to provide you with an alternative accomodation of the present area that you occupy in the same locality.
