Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
sir,i am living in an apartment,we have acute water shortage..so we ased our owner's permission and kept a tank in the terrace for our personal use in addition to the building tanks....one other family has been keeping a pvt tank for the past one year in the same building.now another owner is asing us to remove the tank...we have spent a huge amount for this tank..with the permission of the house owner and the building engineer.how do we defend?

Dear Sir / Madam,
If all the other residents of the building have put up a water storage tank on the terrace, you too have a right to put up your tank on the terrace. You should submit a letter to this effect to the landlord of the building. Simply tell the person who is asking you to remove your tank to pay you the full cost of putting up the tank and removing it.
