Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
We are staying as a joint family for over 100 years as tenants. Tenant contract is in my brothers name he is paying the rent every month. we asked permission from our landlord to build a toilet for us in our house ,he is telling us first to remove our cousin then only he will us the permission to built a toilet.

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, you will need to obey the landlord simply because only a family of maximum four or five persons can reside in a tenanted property.
