Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
We are sub tenants and have been residing since 40 years. The landlord has been changed and he's a developer. What are my rights?? The property is about to go in for redevelopment. And now the real tenant is trying to come into picture after 40 years. There was no written agreement of subletting too as my dad used to work for him and that company now has been dissolved

Dear Sir / Madam,
As a sub-tenant, you are a deemed trespasser, having no legal rights to reside in the property. Still, you should negotiate with the landlord on the facts that you have been residing in the premises for so many years, so that the landlord recognizes you as the tenant of the premises.
Regards,
