Transfer of ownership in Pagdi system
My grand father bought 225 sq ft house in mumbai in year 1915 ,which comes under pagdi system.
My Grand father expired 7 years back, as per law the legal heir (my Grand mother) will be the owner of the house and my grand mother is 97 year old. same was communicated to the landlord, but till date the landlord is demanding huge amount for transfer of the name of the property on my grand mothers name, also he put one case against me as i am trying to sold this property due to some estate agents goes to meet him for knowing the exact amount of transfer instead of we already discussed with landlord as we are not selling it. He said will see and don't worry we just put that case as formality that why we give up that and unfortunately he win that case, Now he demanding to settled with huge amount either left the house with certain amount.

Till 2016 we have paid the rent by Post, but the landlord is not giving us receipt for the rent paid. Post 2016 the landlord is not ready to accept the rent nor giving the rent receipt
