Legal Question in Legal Ethics in India

My passport is lost by one agent. After giving visa inerview it was delivered to their office from ambassy. I called them so many time that sir when I have to join my job they said wait and its almost two years now. When I went to their office they said they cant find my passport. What I should do now. I cant apply for any job without my passport. Can I take any legal action against them?

What were u doing for 2 years? Have u lodged the FIR? When you apply again, they will ask for FIR. You can take action against them by filing a consumer complaint for compensation.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should lodge an FIR to record the loss of your Passport. Since the agent is responsible for misplacing your Passport. you should ask him to complete the formalities and pay for making your duplicate Passport.
