Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Ireland

I had a severe dislocation in my finger which required surgery in a hospital. However, the operation was not wholly successful and as a result my finger has been left permanently disfigured, (i.e. stubbed, crooked, unable to straighten or bend fully). I have been into the hospital many times since and they have tried to straighten it out as much as they can, but my finger will now be left crooked permanently. My question is, do I have a case against the doctors who partaken in the operation as my finger was just dislocated and should not have been left in a permanently disfigured state. Thanks, Paul.
