Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I'm from Andhra Pradesh state of India. I have a doubt regarding registration of land. my father happened to die recently and we have a home (ancestral property) which we received upon settlement with our relatives and was given to my mother.Now my mom wants to register this land in the name of my elder brother.
1)I would like to ask what are the expenses involved like how much would i have to pay for stamp and registration.
2)my mom is giving the land under GIFT DEED.Is this good i mean does this decrease the cost to pay if so how much and are there any other ways to further decrease the expenses.please explain in detail.
Value of the land would be 30 lakhs

Dear Sir / Madam,
Your mother will have to pay 2.5% of the Ready reckoner rate of the property by way of Stamp Duty plus 0.5% Registration Fees for getting the transfer of the title of the property registered in the name of your elder brother in the record of the Tehsildar / district Registrar.
