i have bought 1 bhk flat at malad west. got it registered & paid proper stamp duty 1yr ago.now some 4 members of society are claming that the person from whom i had bought flat is nt genuine & they are going to complaint it to registration office for cancellation, but society is favouring & assuring me about the sellers geniunes.

kindly guide me regarding the above issue.

Dear Sir / Madam,

When you got the flat registered at the Stamp Duty office, the name of the seller ought to have been shown there as the last owner. If that was so, the Society members have no locus standi to say that the seller is not genuine. Let them complain, you have several means to argue your case.
