Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pakistan
Dear Adnan Sb & other respected Attorneys,
I have a house in Wah Cantt in Cantonment area. My brother-in-law and sister is staying in it and paying me a discounted rent of Rs.15000/- (in the open market the rent is Rs.25.000). I do not have any rent agreement with them... because of a family relationship. For the past 6 months they stopped paying the rent and openly telling me that they will not pay the rent. I spoke to a local lawyer about filing an ejectment petition against them. He quoted some new law as per which we can have the ejectment completed in 4 month's time. Are you aware of any such law? If there is no such law in place, what is the maximum time the ejectment can take in my case, since there is no rent agreement in place. I have some emails to support my case that we exchanged in the past about the unpaid rent. Please post your respond here and to my personal email address: [email protected]. I will be very grateful of of for this favor.
Best Regards,
Ali
