Dear Lawyer,
My mother in law is having some psychological problems as told by doctor when we went for my husband visit. She has to visit the doctor and be on medication, but she is not willing. Some people are trying to misguide her but she is not understanding and is going by their side. On their influence she is now asking a share in my husband's ancestral property. No problem in giving her share but worried she will be cheated and will be on roads. So is there any way she can be prevented on getting her share on medical grounds.

If the property is ancestral. both mother and son will have a share and her unsoundness of mind can't debar her from getting the property. But court can appoint a caretaker in her case so that no one can dispossess her.
