Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Dear sir,

I am living in Mumbai in rent & as per agreement my land lord is asking for 3 months written notice to vacate the flat but I gave him only one month notice to vacate the flat. Now my land lord is putting penalty for two months & he is deducting two months rent in my security deposit. please advice me, Is my land lord is doing right as per law??

Dear Sir / Madam,

Yes, the Licensor is right and he / she is legally entitled to deduct two month's compensation for notice in keeping with the terms and conditions of the Agreement.
