Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Dear Sir,

My name is �Mahendar Reddy Kommeti�, working as a Software Engineering in Hitech city. I am from Dharmaram Village, Konaraopet (Mandal), Karimnagar (Dist).

Few days back I bought a land (28 Gunta) from a person named Chandraiah by giving 2 lacs as token amount (Written Proof available with me). Now, his cousin brother named Yellaiah sent me a legal notice from Sircilla court directing me not to purchase Chandraiah�s land.

Kindly, help me on this and let me know if you need any info.

More important is to know as to why he is asking you not to purchase. Is the seller not entitled to sell? Is it an ancestral property of which sender if notice is a legal heirs? We have to examine this and if we find any risk, I would suggest you to seek the refund.
