Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I want to extent my leave & licence agreement for nine months, without going to registering my agreement in register office on stamp paper with notaries. It is legally o.k. what is a value of stamp paper required.

In Maharashtra, registration of Leave & License Agreement is compulsory and failure may invite prosecution of landlord i.e. property owner.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Registration of Leave and License agreements less than one year is optional. You should pay the Stamp Duty of Rs. 1,200/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred only) and complete the process.
