Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
My father brought land (with house) in 1970's. But he could not live in it since he was working in bank and travelling. His brothers and sister occupied the house.
His brothers fought with him to transfer some land in their name, but he resisted. Now father is dead. The property transfers to his wife and kids(me and my bro). Father's brothers are now harrassing his wife(my mom). Do his brothers and sisters have any claim on the land and house? My dad has paid tax on proprty in recent years. (i donot know of the past)
In Ration card of the house fathers name is not there as we shifted to a flat.

Dear Sir / Madam,
Your uncles and aunties have no right or claim whatsoever in the land and house belonging to your father. After your father's demise, your mother becomes the owner of the land and the house. It is immaterial whether your father's name exists on the ration card or not.
Regards,
