Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

My father and Uncles have agriculture land in Karnataka which was received by them inheritance. My grandfather was expired in 1974. and in record name of Uncle as elder son showing. The tehsildar office could not found mutation entry. So we could not came to know is their other brother's names has been on record or not . How we can get mutation entry? May we can make new mutation entry? What is the procedure in Karnataka state . please guide
