Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

My Father-in-law and my mother-in- law got married in the year 1987. My Father-in-law was previously married and his first wife was deceased. He had 2 daughters from his first marriage. He has 2 daughters from his second marriage and I am married to the youngest of the daughters. They were working Saudi Arabia.

My mother-in-law has acquired an apartment in Chennai in the year 1988. She acquired the property out of her savings, by pledging some jewels and getting loan from some friends/ relatives.

My Mother-in-law has written her will stating that after her lifetime the apartment in Chennai will be an equal share between her biological daughters and their spouses.

Now the first 2 daughters from my father-in-law's first marriage want to get share in the property. Can they proceed legally with regards to this matter?

Please advice how to go forward with this.

Thanks much in advance.

Regards,

Arun
