Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi,

I and my family are living as a tenant in a rented house for the past 7 months.The landlord has given me a rent agreement but is not authorized by the notary.I have applied for a new LPG connection,and there they asking for a notarized rent agreement as an address proof.The landlord is not providing me with a notarized rent agreement.Is there any way out.Please guide.

A LIC policy can also be a proof for residence.
