Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I was holding a flat in an apartment with 8 flats. It was sold on 22nd of this month and the other flat owners after sales are asking me whether I will pay for the paining of common walls as and when done as the new occupant may not accept immediately. This was not discussed with me earlier nor was I invited for any members meeting where painting decision was taken. As per my views I do not have locus standi now having sold the apartment and it is for the new buyer to handle this. Further more paining walls is for future benefit and not for the past. The members do not have a formal minutes of earlier meetings, do not have a plan, quote etc for painting. Please guide.
