Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
My husband, Father,Mother,Brother-in-laws (Four) have filed a compormise partition Suit in Rastriya Lokadalat,Balasore,Orissa on 6th Dec14 for partition of a 18 dec. residential plot. A vacant portion of backyard of 4dec. with approach road of 1 dec (Tot 5 dec) is alloted to my husband leaving 12 decimal with 1800 floor area Double Storied Building on this to my Brother-in-law which is not proportionate. My husband has 2 living sisters which were not called for. Can this partition suit/degree be challenged by me as this is unjust and destroyed my relation with my sister-in-laws as they have cut off relation with me thereafter.

You are not a legal heir to that property and hence you can't challenge it. But your husband's sister's are legal heirs and should have been joined as necessary parties to the suit. They can challenge the suit. Contact for detail.
