Kindly inform me the approximate fee for obtaining Legal Heir Certificate.
My father owns a site in Hosur. He passed way in 2008. Now the site documents need to be transferred in my mother's name. Pl. inform me the procedure.

Dear Chitra,
You do not need a legal heir certificate to transfer your deceased father's property in your mother's name. You should check for the title transfer procedure with the Registrar or Tehsildar where the site is located.
