Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
My landlord has two siblings and he wants to sell a rented flat(rent of which I have been paying him all along and I am the current tenant) to me however I have just come to know that only the mutation papers for that property has his name and all the taxes and other papers are in his late mother's name. He says he has a will where his mother has passed the flat to his name however he is unwilling to produce/share a copy saying that is is confidential and cannot be copied/shared. Is it safe to proceed with the purchase? If so is anything required to be verified prior to the purchase?
