Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I made a sale agreement for a room in a chawl in Jan 1987 and same not registered within 4 months & 8 months. The seller was died in 1991 and the sale agreement got it registered in 2001 by deed of affirmation and also I paid stamp duty on the same in 2001. Now the son of seller filed a suit in small cause court, what should the relief I got? Whether this agreement was valid or not?

Dear Sir / Madam,
The deed of affirmation ought to have been signed by the legal heirs of the seller to validate the sale. In that event, the suit filed in the small cause court by the son of the deceased seller will not sustain.
