Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Hi, My parents had purchased a piece of land (Tamil Nadu) from my mom's uncles (four Cousin brothers of my mother's father) for 'x' amount 25years back. The sale was registered as a Gift deed from them to my Mother. So, no other receipt for payment of money. We had lived there for few years. Patta (Title ownership) is in our name, have been paying property taxes & other bills.
later, the land was split into four as gift deed (my mom, dad, myself & my brother)
Though there is no difference of opinion with them & my family as of now, Can my Mother's uncles or their children make any legal claim/dispute over the land? What can be done to avoid that in future?

If you are in possession of the land for 25 years and the terms are still good I doubt if there will be a problem
