Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I am planning to buy a flat in bangalore. however when I check the flat documents I found that the sale dead of the site on which the flat has been constructed is registered in tamilnadu (Madras) in 1988. Is this valid? The site is present in old airport road, murgesh palya. Can a bangalore site or land be registered in Madras? If Yes, what could be the probable reasons for that? Can I safely buy this flat?
Thanks
Gopal

Dear Gopal,
As regards registration of property, it should be registered in the State in which it is located. However, you should check with the Registrar at the local Stamp Duty Registration Office whether the registration of the property in Tamil Nadu is valid or not, before taking a final decision on the flat.
Regards,
For investigation of title, be guided by lawyer.
Registration in Tamil Nadu need to be looked from angle of nature of document. In case of Sale Deed, registration can not happen in other State.
