Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
A plot of land approx 150 sq metres was purchased in 1991 and registered in the name of my wife and daughter. The plot is in the registration district of Kancheepuram , Tamil Nadu . My daughter , the co owner is now a citizen of Canada and is interested in releasing her ownership and transferring it 100% to her mother Is it legal to get this done thro a release document duly registered?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, it is perfectly legal for your daughter to relinquish her share in the land to her mother vide a Relinquishment Deed.
